The SSR analysis indicated that this variety is different from Barbarossa described by Giorgio Gallesio in the Pomona (1817-1839) that correspond to the Barbarossa Finale widespread in Piedmont and Liguria, it is different from a Barbarossa cultivated in Massa-Carrara province (Tuscany) that correspond to Uva Reina present in Piedmont, and it is also different from the Barbaroux rose cultivated in France and Corsica.
